    What we believe

In our personal lives and in the ministry of St. Luke, we strive to live out the Seven Marks of Ministry. These are seven ideals that we lift up as members of St. Luke to help each of us grow in faith.  Whether you are just starting a journey of faith with Christ, or if you have been walking with Him your whole life, these seven marks will assist your spiritual growth.

We follow the seven marks of ministry:Click each symbol to find out more

    OUR VISION
Seek God, Serve Others, Share Life.

    OUR MISSION
At St. Luke Lutheran Church we will accept and love all people as we:
    • Grow as disciples, worship God, serve others, give generously, care, and share the life and resources God entrusts to us.
    ST LUKE GUIDING PRINCIPLES
    • We value joy, diversity and creativity in the church.
    • We believe that children require special care and that St. Luke will be a safe sanctuary for all children.
    • We agree that God loves all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, income, or sexuality.
    • We believe that no one should be left to suffer alone.
    • We believe in the priesthood of all believers, as men and women called by God to serve our neighbor in love.
    • We as a church body agree we can disagree on important topics and still work side by side in worship and in ministry.
    • We believe we are called by the love of Christ to minister with acts of mercy to the stranger and the needy near and far.

Grace Alone. We believe are saved by the grace of God alone -- not by anything we do.

Faith Alone. Our good works and actions do not get us into heaven.  Our salvation comes from faith -- a confident trust in God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life and salvation.

Scripture Alone.  The Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God Himself. It is the true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.

    Here at St Luke ...

We seek God. We are a church that seeks to express our love for God in all that we do - with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).
We serve others. The St. Luke church family has a heart to serve the community, loving each other just as God has loved us (John 13:35).
We share our lives together. No one here is perfect - we are all ordinary people who gather together to worship God, grow spiritually, and put our faith into action (James 2:15).
