Sunday September 9, 9am - Noon The second Sunday of September is a time that Lutherans all over the country reach out and use our hands and feet - God's Hands and Feet - to help our neighbors! Many projects are being planned and more details will follow. We will start off the service day in the Sanctuary at 9am and finish at noon with a cookout in the pavilion. September 2, 2018 Lifeblood is the Memphis region's only non-profit volunteer blood center, dedicated to meeting the needs of patients, healthcare facilities, medical professionals and the community at large. Every year Lifeblood supplies more than 100,000 units of blood and blood products for local patient transfusion. The donation process only takes about 1 hour and takes place entirely at St. Luke. Each donation of whole blood can help as many as 3 recipients - all of them our neighbors. A sign-up sheet will be located on the bulletin board outside the office. Alternatively, you can sign up and complete your health questionnaire in advance at clublifeblood.us. Don't forget you earn points with every donation that can be redeemed at clublifeblood.us; rewards include t-shirts, movie passes, and gift cards.  You're invited to celebrate
Pastor Cliff's 25th Anniversary of Ordination on Saturday, August 25th, from 6:30 until the cows come home or the service starts, the next morning! Cliff has been with us for 16 of those 25 years, so it's our privilege to mark this occasion with dinner, beer, wine, and best wishes. All are invited, children included (no beer or wine for them - sorry!). There will be babysitting available in the SLY room, next to the CFC and supper will be provided for them too.
