WHAT WE BELIEVE

Grace Alone.
We believe we are saved by the grace and love of God.
Faith Alone.
Our salvation comes from faith --a confident trust in God, who, in Christ, promises us forgiveness and life.
Scripture Alone.
The Bible is the inspired word of God. Holy Scripture contains all that is necessary for salvation

MISSION STATEMENT

At St Luke Lutheran Church we will accept and love all people as we; grow as disciples, worship God, serve others, give generously, care and share the life and resources God has entrusted to us.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We value joy, diversity and creativity in the church.
Let your light so shine before others, so that they may see your good deeds and give glory to your Father in heaven.
(Matthew 5:16)
We believe that children require special care and that St. Luke will be a safe sanctuary for all children.
Let the children come unto me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.
(Mark 10:14b)
We agree that God loves all people regardless of ethnicity, gender, income, or sexuality
Indeed God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
(John 3:17)
Love one another as I have loved you.
(John 13:34b)
We believe that no one should be left to suffer alone.
Just as you did it to the least of these,…you did it to me.
(Matthew 25:34-40)
We believe in the priesthood of all believers, we are called by God to serve our neighbor in love
There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
(Galatians 3:28)
We as a church body agree we can disagree on important topics and still work side by side in worship and in ministry.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind...you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
(Matthew 22:37, 39)
We believe we are called by the love of Christ to minister with acts of mercy to the stranger and the needy near and far.
Jesus went out teaching, preaching, and healing
(Matthew 9:35)
