Burundi Family Assistance
Grace Healthcare Birthday Parties
Habitat for Humanity - Each year, St. Luke members join members from other churches, to construct a home for a Habitat client.
Lifeblood - St. Luke Saints are periodically provided the opportunity to donate blood while at church on selected Sundays through Lifeblood's mobile unit.
Mission Jamaica – Each year a team of St. Luke members serve as missionaries at an orphanage and boys reform school in Jamaica. Periodically a youth team serves in Jamaica as well.
More than a Meal - In cooperation with Grace St. Luke, St. Luke serves over 1200 guests in a given year on the third Sunday of the month. In addition to a nourishing meal, guests participate in prayer and song, receiving nourishment of their souls in addition to that of their bodies. In the month of December gifts consisting of gloves, socks, scarves, lip balm, and throat lozenges are collected and dispersed to our guests, making it a very special Christmas event. Volunteers may serve in food preparation or as servers in the kitchen or dining room.
There are several Social Outreach activities which are listed in the committee description but not described in detail. For more information on these or other social outreach opportunities, contact the committee chair or council representative.
